Sharon Goldinger is a professional writer and editor and the owner of PeopleSpeak—Concepts and Communications Consulting. She specializes in nonfiction publications, including manuscripts, manuals, magazines, and directories. An expert in manuscript preparation, Sharon assists writers and nonwriters in meeting their literary goals by providing complete consulting and hands-on services from initial consultation and editing to book jacket copywriting and book shepherding.
Sharon’s varied background in business and law has given her a broad range of experience and knowledge. From congressional committees on Capitol Hill to a national service organization in Los Angeles, she has utilized her writing, editing, and researching skills. Sharon’s corporate experience has included writing newsletters, articles for newspapers and magazines, brochures, advertising copy and speeches. As the editor of a Los Angeles monthly newspaper, Women’s News, and an Orange County lifestyle magazine, California Living, Sharon was responsible for developing story ideas, as well as copyediting, researching, and writing articles on a broad range of topics.
Sharon’s experience also includes marketing consulting. Since 1985, Sharon and her staff have created individualized public relations, advertising, and media placement campaigns for a variety of clients. Campaigns combine an appropriate blend of public relations, publicity, promotion, marketing and advertising strategically devised for each client.
Sharon, a business administration major, attended American University, George Mason University and California State University, Northridge. She is a member of Los Angeles Editors and Writers Group, IBPA (the Independent Book Publishers Association), and she is vice president of the Publishers Association of Los Angeles.
Sharon’s clients include authors, publishers, small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and professional associations. Her most recent editorial endeavors have included numerous self-help and business books, book proposals, and corporate and marketing publications.
